The grotto of Bue Marino
Day 6
On Thursday morning, after a hearty breakfast and a delicious coffee we set off early towards the western part of Filicudi to see the Canna, a huge rocky cliff that rises about 70m above the water, as if it was balanced on the seabed.
After a swim and the chance to experience once again the incredibly beautiful backdrop of the island, we will go to visit the Grotto of Bue Marino, notable for its unique array of stunning shades of color.A skilled skipper like ours can sail almost inside the Grotto.
After the visit, we set sail and head for the island of Vulcano sailing for 4 hours, where we moor for the night. The sunset that you can admire in the Ponente Bay is sublime…one of the most beautiful sunset I ever seen in the Mediterranean Sea.
